A flash of bright red seen on a Bundanoon field on a cold Autumn day signals the arrival of the red robins. Flame and Scarlet Robins, singly or in pairs, migrate to the grasslands and woodlands of the Southern Highlands in Autumn to stake out their winter territories. Red-capped Robins, though uncommon, are occasionally seen.
